Electric detarring precipitator refers to the coke oven gas primary cooling equipment that uses the effect of a high-voltage direct current electric field to separate tar mist and gas. The electric detarring precipitator can be installed before or after the coke oven gas blower. In addition, compared with the mechanical tar catcher, the electric detarring precipitator has the characteristics of high tar catching efficiency, small resistance loss, and large gas processing capacity. Not only can ensure the gas quality requirements of the subsequent processes, increase the product recovery rate, but also significantly improve the operating environment.
Theoretical basis
According to the electric field theory, positive ions are adsorbed on the negatively charged corona electrode, and negative ions are adsorbed on the positively charged precipitation electrode; all the ionized positive and negative ions fill the entire space between the corona electrode and the precipitation electrode. When the gas containing impurities such as tar mist droplets passes through the electric field, the impurities that have adsorbed negative ions and electrons move to the precipitation electrode under the action of the Coulomb force of the electric field, release the charge, and are adsorbed on the precipitation electrode to achieve purification. The purpose of the gas is usually called the charging phenomenon. When the amount of impurities adsorbed on the sedimentation electrode increases to greater than its adhesion, it will automatically flow downwards and be discharged from the bottom of the electric tar trap, and the net gas will leave from the upper part of the electric tar trap and enter the next process
